 Handbags And Gladrags is the Stereophonics' version of Rod Stewart's 1970 classic, taken from the veteran rocker's An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down debut album. This version was recorded earlier this year with Jools Holland And His Rhythm And Blues Orchestra for Jools' New Year's Eve Hootennany.
The single is a gorgeous rendition of the original with Kelly Jones' gravel-voiced (just like Rod's) vocals singing the most melodious of the Stereophonics' records to date, and their first (single) cover. His vocals are enhanced by the excellence of Jools Holland's band.
