A lot of people will be buying this double-A-side not for the proper single, Boiler, but for for the second track, a cover of George Michael's Faith. So we'll skip to that.
Faith is the track that broke Limp Bizkit when they released it in the United States in 1997. This is Faith's first single release in the UK.
It begins similarly to the original; with its muted guitar under vocals. In fact, the first fifty seconds are very good and 'serious' - if that's the right word. They're similar to the original in a semi-Limp Bizkit style. Then comes the chorus. If you were wanting to do a thrash version of a George Michael classic, how would you do it?
"Gotta have Faaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttthhhhhh," screams Fred Durst. It just sounds a bit like a charity/novelty single. Very good though.
The other A-side is Boiler, a darker track sounding similar to Limp Bizkit's Mission: Impossible theme, just not as catchy.
Buy this for Faith.
